The Myopia Hunter Pace offers you a lovely ride through typical hunt country, followed by presentation of the Myopia Hunter Pace Awards and Picnic. Please join us for a fun day of cross-country riding over our beloved countryside.

MYOPIA SPRING HUNTER PACE OVERVIEW

Sunday, May 21, 2017, 9:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Start times
Myopia Schooling Field, 394 Bay Rd, Hamilton, MA

Course:
The course of approximately six miles is the same for all divisions. There is a mandatory three minute rest stop. Refreshments will be provided for riders.

Non-Jumping Division: All jumps are optional.

Junior Non-Jumping Division: Two or more riders under 18. One adult professional may be part of a Junior team. All jumps are optional.

20” Jumping Division: 15 typical hunt fences, maximum of 20”. All jumps are mandatory.

3’ Jumping Division: Approximately 20 typical hunt fences, maximum of 3’. All jumps are mandatory.

Attire:
Safety helmet required, boots and breeches preferred, jodhpurs for Juniors. Creative team attire encouraged for all divisions.

Awards: NEW THIS SPRING
Winners are those closest to the Official Pace Time.
Ribbons will be available for the top six places of finish for Adult Division and Junior Division.  Ribbons will be mailed to the designated team leader for distribution.  Division results will be posted on myopiahunt.org by Sunday 8 pm.

Awards Reception NEW THIS SPRING
This year we are not holding the Spring Awards Reception at the end of the day.  Instead of the Awards Reception, we are giving each participant competitor a food ticket entitling you to a no charge breakfast or lunch selection from Bonne Bouche Caterers.  

Liability Waiver:
“Myopia Hunt Liability Waivers” and the “Release of Landowner” must be signed by all participants. NOTE: If you’ve signed these in the past, you do not need to do so again. All waivers for riders under the age of 18 MUST be signed by a parent or legal guardian. A trainer or chaperon is not a legal guardian.

Start Times:
Please indicate the half-hour interval during which you would like to start on your entry form. Check in at the pace to receive your team number, then arrive mounted in the warm-up field during your chosen interval. No further time assignment will be made. Riders must arrive at warm-up by 12:15 p.m. Our course closes promptly at 2:30 p.m. If you would like a leisurely ride, please start early.

Directions to Myopia Schooling Field, 394 Bay Road, South Hamilton, MA:

From the South:
Route 1 north to Route 128 north.
Exit 20A, Route 1A north.
Travel 4 miles to South Hamilton Center.
Proceed 1⁄2 mile to Myopia Schooling Field on the left.

From the North:
Route 95 south or Route 1 south to Route 128 north Exit 20A, Route 1A north.
Travel 4 miles to South Hamilton Center.
Proceed 1⁄2 mile to Myopia Schooling Field on the left.

Early entry, if received by May 16:  $65
Received after May 16 or day of Pace:  $75

You may submit your entry online, bring a Printed Entry Form with Signed Liability Waivers & Check to the Pace, or mail all forms along with payment to:
